Some Sci-fi work

I have been experimenting with some sci-fi troops.  At this point I want to us Chain of Command rules but that is still up in the air.

Basically 40K vs Star Wars
The 40k Human Defense Force is made up of 3 squads.
2 squads have team of 6 laseguns and a missile team of 1 grenadier and 3 riflemen pluses a Command team of a Sargent with a Bolt pistol and a radioman with a lasegun
The third squad is the assult squad and has 3 teams made up of a Meltagun and two rifles with a forth command team like to other squads but also with a grenadier equipped with hand grenades.
The support is a unit of heavy power armor that is set up for close assaults.
The platoon commander has a chainsaw sword and a Bolt pistol 
 
The Star Wars force has 2 squads each squad made up of one team with a belt fed light mg and 5 rifles carrying blasters. The second team had 2 SMG blasters and a missile man
There are two laser turrets.
The platoon Command is a Force user with a light Saber and and R2 unit(I have not figured out how the R2 unit helps but I have it and by gum I am going to use it. It will probably give an extra Command die thus making people want to kill it)

Chain of Command AAR Battle of Kasserine Pass February 25, 1943.

 Yesterday I went over to Pittsburgh to the Soldiers & Sailors Tabletop Gamers club to run a game of Chain of Command.  Paul Lawson invited me to come and run a game at the club’s Winterfest.  This club was new to me but it turns out I was acquainted with several of the people involved.      The club meets at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum Trust, Inc. in down town Pittsburgh.  There can not be enough said about this location.  It is both a museum and an event space.  The club meets in the paneled room filled with all of the CMH recipients for the state of Pennsylvania.  The building itself is wonderful but it is filled with some great historical material making it a place everyone should visit.     The club has a good cross section of both young and old and all of them interested in playing games and running them.  It was a delight to spend the few hours I did with the club members and I will mak...

Troll Battle

Some days are more scary then others and this one is a scary day.  Lieutenant Paul and his band of 30 heavy foot have been tasked with driving 3 trolls out of the swamp lands.  Assisting the Lt. is a small group of 10 light bow and 10 light infantry.  As it turns out those shooters will prove pivotal.  Once the tolls saw our force they began moving to attack us. Going into wet swamps is not what most of the heavy foot signed up for and they were reluctant to move forward but the light infantry love this terrain.  Moving till they came in range the light archers began a devastating fire on the leading troll causing him to halt in confusion to let the rest of his friend come into the fight.   At this point the leader of the trolls sprang into action but he to fell afoul of the archers and became confused about what was going on.
